# MACH by Kinetech > MACH is an operational intelligence platform for manufacturers. It captures real-time shop floor data — machine state, operator context, production results — and routes it to the people who make decisions from it. Floor monitoring is the foundation; cost-to-serve analytics is the destination. Built by Kinetech Cloud, a Texas-based manufacturing software company. MACH is a suite of connected applications: Monitor (live), Schedule (live), Maintain (Q3 2026), and Complete (bundle of Monitor and Schedule). ## What MACH does - **MACH Monitor** — Real-time machine monitoring via direct PLC connection. OEE analytics with custom formulas per machine type. Two-tap downtime classification at the operator kiosk. - **MACH Schedule** — Production scheduling with custom processes, any sequence, any duration, and six line-coupling scheduling modes for connected production lines. Live schedule updates when the floor state changes. - **MACH Maintain** — Asset management, work orders, preventive maintenance (shipping Q3 2026). - **MACH Complete** — Monitor and Schedule bundled at a 15% bundle discount. MACH Maintain will be added to Complete when it ships, at additional cost (Maintain pricing announced when production-ready). - **Multi-plant console (platform)** — One login across every plant, role-based access (admin, planner, viewer), Azure AD SSO with automatic role mapping, auto-generated device keys for kiosks and floor displays. ## Who it's for Mid-market to enterprise manufacturers (typically $50M-$5B revenue) in heavy industry, plastics, chemicals, packaging, and energy infrastructure. Primary buyers: VP of Operations, Plant Manager, CEO/CFO, Continuous Improvement Director. For CEOs evaluating AI investments: the AI readiness gap in manufacturing is data, not strategy. Production data trapped in PLCs, SCADA, and legacy equipment cannot be extracted reliably for AI. MACH connects to that layer directly and captures the operator context that makes machine data interpretable. ## Key claims (with sources) - 800 hours of unplanned downtime per facility per year on average (Forbes Tech Council, 2022) - $129M average annual cost of unplanned downtime at large manufacturers (Siemens, True Cost of Downtime, 2024) - +50% rise in hourly downtime costs in automotive since 2019 (Siemens, 2024) - Typical year-one margin recovery: $500K to $2M per facility - Pricing: graduated per-work-center, annual billing. Across 1-15 / 16-50 / 51-100 work centers: Monitor $214 / $190 / $180, Schedule $125 / $110 / $105, Complete $288 / $255 / $242 (Complete includes a 15% bundle discount). Pricing is graduated — each tier's rate applies only to the work centers within that band, so a 30-work-center Complete deployment is 15 at $288 plus 15 at $255 ($97,740/year). 101+ work centers contact sales. - 20% capacity recovery and 45% reduction in changeover time for a $5B steel manufacturer (Kinetech case study) - Deployment: production install in days to weeks per facility. A free 90-day proof of concept is available before rollout. No MES prerequisite. ## Positioning MACH does not require a MES. It connects directly to the PLC layer and captures operator context at the kiosk, which means it can become the system of record from day one. If an MES exists, MACH integrates with it. If none exists, MACH works standalone. MACH differs from monitoring-only platforms (e.g. MachineMetrics) by adding operator context capture, integrated scheduling, and a path toward cost-to-serve analytics. MACH differs from traditional MES (SAP ME, Plex, Aegis) by installing in days to weeks instead of 18-24 months and costing a fraction of the price. ## Key URLs - [Product overview](https://machmanufacturing.io/product) - [Monitor](https://machmanufacturing.io/monitor) - [Schedule](https://machmanufacturing.io/schedule) - [Reporting & Analytics](https://machmanufacturing.io/reporting-analytics) - [Pricing](https://machmanufacturing.io/pricing) - [Pricing (machine-readable)](https://machmanufacturing.io/pricing.md) - [Category comparison: MACH vs. Tulip, ThingWorx, Enterprise MES](https://machmanufacturing.io/vs) - [How it works](https://machmanufacturing.io/how-it-works) - [Who it's for](https://machmanufacturing.io/who-its-for) - [Case study](https://machmanufacturing.io/case-studies) - [Buyer's guide](https://machmanufacturing.io/buyers-guide) - [Book a diagnostic](https://machmanufacturing.io/diagnostic) - [The Shop Floor Pulse (seven-question visibility self-assessment)](https://machmanufacturing.io/pulse) - [Subscription & End User License Agreement](https://machmanufacturing.io/eula) - [Privacy Policy](https://machmanufacturing.io/privacy) - [Learn (FAQs)](https://machmanufacturing.io/learn) - [Public roadmap](https://machmanufacturing.io/lab) - [Monday Morning Framework](https://machmanufacturing.io/monday-morning) ## Learn topics - [What is operational intelligence for manufacturers?](https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-operational-intelligence-manufacturing) - [Machine monitoring vs. operational intelligence](https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-machine-monitoring-vs-operational-intelligence) - [How shop floor data connects to business outcomes](https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-shop-floor-data-business-outcomes) - [What causes hidden production losses](https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-hidden-production-losses) - [Does production monitoring require a MES?](https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-production-monitoring-without-mes) - [Production monitoring deployment timeline](https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-production-monitoring-deployment-timeline) - [Cost of unplanned manufacturing downtime](https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-cost-unplanned-manufacturing-downtime) - [Cost-to-serve analysis in manufacturing](https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-cost-to-serve-manufacturing) ## Blog posts - [News] Featured in The Fabricator: Making OEE Work in a Job Shop - https://machmanufacturing.io/oee-in-a-job-shop OEE grades a job shop against a standard it does not have yet. The repair is the smallest part of unplanned downtime. Most manufacturers find $500K to $2M in year-one margin already in their operation. - [Explainer] What is the cost of unplanned manufacturing downtime? - https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-cost-unplanned-manufacturing-downtime Manufacturers average 800 hours per facility per year in unplanned downtime. That's 15 hours every week producing nothing. At $250K per hour for a mid-size plant, millions in annual exposure. - [Explainer] What causes hidden production losses in manufacturing? - https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-hidden-production-losses Four sources drive most invisible losses: micro-stops, speed loss, the context gap, and lagging metrics. None of them show up in standard utilization reports. - [Explainer] Machine monitoring vs. operational intelligence: what's the difference? - https://machmanufacturing.io/learn-machine-monitoring-vs-operational-intelligence Machine monitoring captures equipment state.
